The Pedometer is an invaluable accessory given once for a unique purpose; instead of buying certain items, the player can use the Pedometer to measure the amount of steps made in the game in exchange for prizes.
Unfortunately walking just anywhere will not work; steps can only be counted in dungeons, or areas with random encounters.
If equipped with the Step Doubler, and/or Step Tripler, the number of steps can be doubled, tripled, or, as the devices multiplier stacks, sextupled.
