Tinkerbell[]

Quest 1[]

Unlocked after visiting Chicago for the first time. Upon returning to Upper West Side, Garland Detective Agency, Johnny runs into Lenny who tells him about a mysterious client named "Tinkerbell". Tinkerbell has set up a riddle to test Johnny's skills as a detective. A 4x4 grid appears with a numbers on the outline and some numbers on the inside. The objective is to find the numbers for A and B. The totals on the right and bottom side of the grid are the sums of the numbers within, and the numbers 1-9 can only be used once. It's a farily simple addition.

If you can't figure it out from there, the answers are: A = 5, B = 9.

For solving this riddle, Johnny opens the chest to find a Vacuum. This useful item is part of Johnny's Abilities in battle, and sucks up the Stock Gauge of an enemy to give to himself.

Quest 2[]

When you're finished with Las Vegas, feel free to head back to the Garland Detective Agency. Lenny once again has a letter from Tinkerbell, stating that two assasins are looking for Johnny.

Head to Times Square and you'll see a new face towards the Gepetto and Cornelia's building. After speaking with Mark, Johnny will be challenged to a mental math game composed of addition and subtraction questions. The questions are randomized, but it isn't too difficult.

  • 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15
  • 12 + 34 = 46
  • 13 + 4 + 5 = 22
  • 16 + 2 + 15 = 33
  • 18 + 7 = 25
  • 1144 + 4411 = 5555
  • 1244 + 1244 = 248
  • 22 + 77 = 99
  • 3 + 998 = 1001
  • 32 - 5 + 3 = 30
  • 38 + 38 = 76
  • 305 + 58 = 363
  • 47 + 9 - 9 = 47
  • 65 + 25 = 90
  • 644 - 55 = 589
  • 7 + 7 + 26 = 40
  • 9 + 9 + 3 + 9 = 30
  • 98 - 34 = 64

After beating Mark, a new area is opened up. Welcome to Harlem.

After entering Harlem, head down into the Alley Way. Johnny and Frank will talk about Tinkerbell, and their conversation prompts the second assassin, Coolbaugh, to show up. He also has a mental math game, but this time it is multiplication and division. I hope you have quick fingers (if on a calculator), as you only have ten seconds to figure out the answers.

  • 99 / 3 = 33
  • 15 x 6 = 90
  • 84 / 4 = 21
  • 133 x 2 = 266
  • 221 x 3 = 663
  • 2 x 6 x 5 = 60
  • 25 x 3 = 75
  • 5 x 15 = 75
  • 31 x 5 = 155
  • 5 x 4 x 4 = 80
  • 22 x 3 / 2 = 33
  • 8 / 2 x 6 = 24
  • 10 x 9 / 3 = 30
  • 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24
  • 12 x 4 = 48
  • 56 / 7 = 8
  • 8 x 20 = 160
  • 3 x 9 x 3 = 81
  • 88 / 22 = 4
  • 34 x 2 = 68

Aftering beating the challenge, the Panaromic Lens will be handed to Johnny. This awesome accessory will snap all enemies at once, as oppose to one at a time.

Quest 3[]

This sidequest is unlocked after clearing Vilcabamba. Head back to the Garland Detective Agency and you'll see Lenny deep in thought. Before Johnny can get any real clues on why Lenny's acting so weird, a girl comes into the office. She wants you to find her cat, and mentions that it hangs out at her father's office in Times Square. Head there and speak with the father, Leon, who's standing near the lamp post. He mentions that the cat is shy and scared to leave the building, so obviously someone had to have taken it.

What we have on our hands is a good old game of "Who's Telling the Truth?" You have three suspects, and each one has something to say about the others. You need to figure out who is lying in order to find out who stole the cat. Talk to Ramirez, the man standing towards the entry of the Square on the right hand side, to find out the location of your first suspect.

Wells, the first suspect, shows up near Gerard and Buigen. Immediately the guy gets defensive, but he's eases up quickly.

Wells: First off, I can tell you for certain it wasn't me. I was the last one to leave that day, but the cat was already gone, you see. Have you talked to Randy and Taffy yet? They're both liars, so watch out.

After the conversation, head to Chelsea to find the next suspect, Randy. You must first speak to Olga before you can find Randy.

Randy: I was the last one to leave that day. But I don't remember whether the cat was there or not when I left... ... You're gonna go talk to the other two, right? Wells is a lying dog, but Taffy, he's an honest guy. Remember that.

Next, head to Harlem and speak with Deson, who's hanging out on the corner. He'll tell you Taffy is in the Alley.

Taffy: There's no way I could be the culprit. See, I was the second one to leave, and when I did, the cat was still there. Wells is the suspicious one. He's a dirty liar. Randy's honest, so... It has to be Wells, right?

Head back to the Detective Agency and speak with Lenny, then head back to Leon in Times Square. Leon will say that they all have on thing in common: when they lie, they all-out lie, and when they're telling the truth, they tell the whole truth. Johnny has figured it out, but can you?

Return once more to the Detective Agency to finally name you culprit. There are three questions for you, and only by answering them all right can you confront the culprit. (If you get an answer wrong, Johnny will catch it and you can try again.)

Question 1[]

How many of them are telling the truth?

Only one
Question 2[]

Now, who was the last one in the shop?

Wells
Question 3[]

Finally, who's the guilty one!?

Taffy

Upon figuring it out, confront Taffy. Return to the Detective Agency and you'll receive the Phone Call ability, which allows Lenny to aid Johnny in battle with the Godhand ability. You'll also receive a letter from Tinkerbell, but Johnny doesn't suspect a thing...

The Liberty Ghost[]

The Liberty Ghost is Johnny's Ultimate Armor. After visiting the Gate at least once, head to the Garland Detective Agency and speak with Lenny. The servant will notice that part of Johnny's clothes are torn, and he'll walk off and return with the Liberty Ghost.

The Cherry Bowie[]

Johnny's Ultimate Weapon, the Cherry Bowie is available after visiting the Gate at least once.

Roswell[]

Head to Roswell and speak with Roger, who wants you to find him the N.Y. Heaven magazine (a dirty magazine). It was recently banned, so maybe a certain detective has confiscated it recently?

Alcatraz[]

Enter the cafeteria and you'll see Eliot sitting at one of the tables. It takes some effort, but eventually Eliot will relinquish the magazine.

Roswell[]

Hand the pervert his magazine and he'll hand Johnny an unnamed dagger, which Natan calls, upon a whim, the Cherry Bowie.
