Starting location of Shadow Hearts: From the New World, and owned by Johnny Garland.
Serving both as a work place and home to Johhny, it is here he meets prospective clients and takes on cases. He is first tasked by Professor Gilbert on a missing persons case, which propels him into the main plot of the game.
Lenny Curtis, his faithful butler, can also be found here. Interacting with him will eventually prompt Johnny to solve a case involving completing challenges from mysterious letters signed by an equally mysterious, "Tinkerbell".

Tinkerbell Sidequest[]
Unlocked after visiting Chicago for the first time.
Upon returning to Upper West Side, Garland Detective Agency, Johnny runs into Lenny who tells him about a mysterious client named "Tinkerbell".
Tinkerbell has set up a riddle to test Johnny's skills as a detective. A 4x4 grid appears with a numbers on the outline and some numbers on the inside.
The objective is to find the numbers for A and B. The totals on the right and bottom side of the grid are the sums of the numbers within, and the numbers 1-9 can only be used once.
The answers are:
- A=5
- B=9
For solving this riddle, Johnny opens the chest to find a vacuum cleaner and unlock his Vaccum skill.
