Enemy in Shadow Hearts: From the New World
Bestiary Entry[]
Life form that inhabits gaps between dimensions. What looks like a tail is actually its mouth; will study victim's behavior carefully and try to outwit its prey.

Etymology[]
Misromanised as "Byarki", the Byakhee are a winged race of interstellar beings from the Cthulhu Mythos.
They are first mentioned in Lovecraft's short story, The Festival.
They are only vaguely described as hybrid winged things with webbed feet and membranous wings, and are able to fly unprotected in the vacuum of space.
