'Alias', or possibly 'Elias' was a man who came to the Abbey to steal its treasures, but ended up desperately trying to with survive against the combined threats of the monsters and Ogden and Bessy.

Very little of his past is revealed ingame, other than the fact that he is an immigrant from an undisclosed country, and came to the monastary, initially to rob it. He arrived at the monastary an unspecified amount of time before the events of the game, and manage to survive long enough to evade Ogden, Bessy and the monsters, and heard the screams of those who weren't so lucky.

When he encountered the Koudelka Edward and James making their way through the Storage Room, he tried to kill them by crushing them with the chandelier, which they managed to dodge, leading them to come after and fight him.

After wounding him, they asked him he was asked why he tried to kill them, his reason being that he'd wanted to keep all the treasure to himself. He then began to tell them of the horrors he'd seen, and all the brutal murders that Ogden and Bessy had committed, much to James' disbelief.

Deciding that he was too much of a liability to tag along, and too untrust worthy to go his own way, Edward coldy shoots him in the head, killing him.

• His name is not mentioned ingame and only appears in the credits as "Alias", though this could be a mistranslation of "Elias", or it could perhaps be, that Alias, is indeed an alias.
